1. About this policy
Lunar Lighting Pty Ltd (ABN 15 081 787 180) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information through our websites, enquiry forms and business communications.
Where the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles apply to us, we comply with them. Where they do not apply, we aim to follow the same safeguards as a matter of good practice.
You can contact us about privacy at lunar@lunarlighting.com, by telephone in Australia on 1300 586 271, or from the United States on +1 713 234 0270.
2. Personal information we collect
Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect your name, company or organisation, email address, telephone number, enquiry or message, product and project requirements, quote or sales information, and later correspondence.
Our websites and service providers may also collect technical information such as IP address, device and browser information, approximate location, pages viewed, referral information, cookie identifiers, security events and form-submission metadata.
Please do not include sensitive personal information in a general website enquiry unless it is necessary and you intend us to receive it.
3. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you when you submit a form, contact us, request information or a quote, or deal with us about our products and services. We may also collect technical and usage information automatically through website, security, analytics and advertising technologies.
4. Why we use personal information
- To respond to your enquiry and identify your requirements.
- To prepare and follow up a quote.
- To provide requested product, technical, hire, sales, service, licensing or distribution information.
- To communicate with you about an existing request, order or business relationship.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve our websites and forms.
- To measure website and advertising performance.
- To prevent spam, fraud, misuse and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our lawful rights.
If you do not provide information marked as required, we may be unable to respond or prepare a quote.
5. Website forms, cookies and analytics
Our websites use WordPress and Fluent Forms for website and enquiry functions. We also use security and anti-spam services, including CleanTalk, and Google services that may include Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads and embedded Google features.
These services may use cookies or similar technologies. Necessary technologies support security and core site operation. Analytics and advertising technologies help us understand visits, measure enquiries and assess advertising performance.
Where consent is required, our cookie controls will allow you to make or change your choices. Blocking some optional technologies may reduce measurement or certain website features but will not prevent you from contacting us directly.
6. Disclosure to service providers and others
We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to service providers that support website hosting, forms, anti-spam and security, email and communications, analytics, advertising, IT support, professional advice, delivery or customer service. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, or to protect our lawful rights and the safety or security of others.
We do not sell personal information.
7. Overseas processing
Some technology and service providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries in which those providers or their subcontractors operate. The locations can change over time. Where the Privacy Act applies, we take reasonable steps required by law in relation to overseas disclosures.
8. Direct marketing
A website enquiry does not by itself enrol you in unrelated marketing. If we offer optional marketing communications, we will use a separate lawful basis or optional choice where required. You may ask us to stop direct marketing at any time by using an unsubscribe facility or contacting lunar@lunarlighting.com.
9. Security and retention
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet or storage system is completely secure.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, an ongoing business relationship, dispute handling, security, recordkeeping and applicable legal obligations. We then delete, destroy or de-identify it where reasonably practicable.
10. Access and correction
You may ask for access to personal information we hold about you or request correction of inaccurate information. Contact lunar@lunarlighting.com. We may need to verify your identity and may refuse a request where the law permits, in which case we will explain the reason where required.
11. Privacy complaints
Please send a privacy complaint to lunar@lunarlighting.com with enough information for us to understand and investigate the issue. We will acknowledge and respond within a reasonable period. If the Privacy Act applies and you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
12. Third-party links and policy updates
Our websites may link to third-party sites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We may update this policy when our practices, services or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will be published on our website.
