About Lunar Lighting

Australian-engineered daylight, trusted where it matters most.

Since 1994, Lunar Lighting has built portable, anti-glare daylight for the moments that can't wait for sunrise — from minesites and construction to defence, emergency response and the world's biggest screens. Our engineering has been honoured in Washington D.C. and allocated NATO Stock Numbers — taken seriously at the highest levels.

Why should fictional drama have better lighting than real life — where there's no chance of a second take?

The Founder

George Ossolinski

Lunar Lighting's founder and CEO grew up in Sydney, Australia, in a family of inquiry, engagement and resourcefulness. A keen sportsman, he played and won awards in Australian Rules football and other sports — picking up the self-discipline and teamwork that still run through how Lunar is built.

Before Lunar, the highest-quality HMI illumination existed in one place: the world of make-believe, on film sets. When George's work brought him into the movie industry, he asked the question that became the company. He took it further — engineering anti-glare HMI Lunar Lighting, now protected by registered worldwide patents and trademarks.

It's often said that having the vision isn't enough — you have to see it through. That takes belief, dedication and persistence. Without all of it, Lunar Lighting would have stayed just another bright idea.
